COURSE CONTENT

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles/Drones are quickly changing the landscape of storytelling.

This course will examine how filmmakers use drones in a safe and responsible way to craft messages for a mass audience.

Students in this course will receive training in video camera setup, camera manoeuvres, shooting practices, pre and post-production planning including storyboarding and shot lists, composition of aerial shot and manoeuvres and much more.

In addition, we will cover technology, safe flying practices with an emphasis on current FAA airspace regulations, rules, ethics and privacy concerns.

COURSE OUTCOME

At the end of the 4-week intensive, students should have a clear understanding of cinematic storytelling techniques and will have a completed 5-7 minute short
