Since 2010, we have organized a series of high impact creative filmmaking workshops bringing in instructors from Hollywood USA. We have trained over 1200 (One thousand, two hundred) Young Africans in the art and science of filmmaking, media communications, and creative content distribution etc. Our alumni have gone on to contribute their quota to shaping the foundation of the African Creative Industry as directors, actors, producers, media entrepreneurs and other important roles.




Aisha Augie-Kuta  is a renowned Nigerian photographer and filmmaker based in Abuja. She won the award for Creative Artist of the year at the 2011 The Future Awards. She currently works as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kebbi State, Nigeria on New Media. She has a certificate in Digital Filmmaking from the Del-York Creative Academy. In May 2011, Augie-Kuta became an Associate for the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI).  She is also the vice-president of Women in Film and Television in Nigeria (WIFTIN) the West African chapter of the US-based network. She co-founded the Photowagon, a Nigerian photography collective, in 2009. She has made contributions towards the girl child/youth development and nation building.. She has been a frequent facilitator at the annual gathering of photographers, Nigeria Photography Expo & Conference; a panelist and speaker at various events; and has spoken at TEDx events in Nigeria. Augie-Kuta was sworn-in as a UNICEF High-Level Women Advocate on Education with a focus on girls and young women.



Prior to her programme, Rachel was a Television Producer, Presenter, Actress, Writer and Creative Director of Television Programmes Stylecode and Trends & Rachel. So many positive developments, initiatives and projects have been birthed in and around her life and career post-Del-York Creative Academy training. She was the MD/CEO- RAYZEDS MEDIA LIMITED offering PR services, Red carpet hosting, etc. She went back into acting and Film Production. Her movies are yet to be released. She is now a multiple award-winning Actress, Presenter & Producer of “TRENDS & RACHEL” and Hausa Version “YANAYIN ZAMANI da RACHEL”, RACHEL THE PIPER and RACHEL Mai Kakkaki.  As a peace Ambassador, she passionately uses her platforms to promote peace, democracy, oneness and the development of Nigeria. She was part of the first NGO to take help bravely to the Southern Kaduna during crisis and she is a strong advocate/ambassador for Nigeria, Peace, Development and human trafficking.  She also represented Nigeria in the International Visitors Leadership Programme IVLP. Her NGO Rachel the PIPER foundation is on the move impacting positively. She is also the face of the Japanese Government Acts of Kindness/CSR in Nigeria.



Scott is the General Manager of Spectrum Broadcasting Company Nigeria Limited and the Managing Director of Hot FM Abuja. In 2010, he shot a short film called Bye Bye Baby, which won an award for AMP film festival in Lagos.



Angel is a filmmaker, producer and a Director. In 2014, he got a diploma in Directing and Digital Filmmaking from Del York Creative Academy. He is the director of the movie Dark man and My Dream Wedding. Working with an American rapper is a highpoint of Angel’s career. Angel was an ex- housemate in the concluded BIG BROTHER NAIJA REALITY TELEVISION SHOW (2018).



Adeyemi Okanlawon is a Nigerian born Film, TV, Theatre and Voice non-union actor and creative entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience as voice and amateur stage actor. His first feature film appearance in 2010 and he has since seen several of his work nominated and awarded by prominent Pan-African award bodies including, AMVCA, AFRIFF, NMA, AFRINOLLY, IN-SHORT, GMA, BON. In 2015 and 2016 he was awarded Best Actor in an African Collaboration, GMA and Revelation of the Year, BON 2015. Adeyemi is deeply passionate about the Nigerian and African film and theatre industry. In 2011, he got a certificate in Acting for Film from the Del-York Creative Academy.



Adasa Cookeygam popularly known as Adasa Cookey has graced our screens at the end of some of our favourite music videos, painting unique pictures to lyrics.  Adasa is a Nigerian Director/Cinematographer and the team lead at Squareball Media Productions Limited, a company he founded in 2010 after obtaining a Diploma in Film Production from the Del-York Creative Academy. The notable director is an indigene of Opobo and has a degree in Architecture. Not unlike several other directors who dabbled into being on the screen initially, he started his career as a performer and a member of the group Business Men, which toured the South-south as a duo, before making the switch to video directing. Some of his most prominent works includes Burna Boy’s Like to Party (2012), D’Prince’s Goody Bag, ‘Adaobi’ (2014) by the Mavin Crew and DJ Exclusive’s ‘Wo Le’ featuring Davido 2015). In 2013 he had 8 nominations at the Nigeria Music Video Awards. Over the years, he has shot over 200 internationally acclaimed music videos and is the mastermind behind several notable TV commercials, documentaries and much more.





Tamara had her break after emerging the winner of the next movie star reality TV show by Sola Fajobi in 2011 after graduating from DEL-YORK CREATIVE ACADEMY where she graduated as the best acting student in 2011.  She became a renowned name in the movie industry shortly after her role in Superstory as the lead character Itohan. She was nominated for best-supporting actress ACIA awards 2016, ATLANTA USA and won the said award same year. Tamara was nominated for best-supporting actress category, 2014 Giama awards in Houston, USA. African Magic viewer’s choice awards also nominated her for best-supporting actress in 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria. She was again nominated for best-supporting actress category in the Nigerian Entertainment awards New York, USA and also nominated for best actress in the Best of Nollywood Awards in 2014.



Ijeoma Aniebo is an Actor, Writer, Dancer, Presenter, Blogger and Producer.  She has done acting course from Del-York Creative Academy in 2010.  She made her debut as an actor from the tender age of 4. Ijeoma worked with HITV, the indigenous Cable TV station from inception. During that time, she anchored several shows, covered red carpet events, hosted live shows, e.t.c. The highlight of her TV presenting career so far was anchoring the live broadcast for The Experience 2009, Africa’s largest live concert which was broadcasted live for 12 hours in Nigeria and the UK. While at HITV, Ijeoma returned to acting, starring in Nigeria’s first ever Broadway-type musical, ‘Oluronbi’. In 2012, she quit her employment and went into full time acting. That same year she wrote and co-produced two short films, 6:30pm and Drip Drop Nemesis, one of which made it to the top 20 list in the Afrinolly Short Film Competition.  In 2013, she returned to stage, starring in the production of Bobo Omotayo’s ‘London Life, Lagos Living’ and Terrence Tyrone’s play ‘Private lies. She has since been part of several stage and TV productions like; Mad King of Ijudiya, Lion and the Jewel, Deadline, Hard Times, just to mention but a few.



Tope Alake is a vibrant Nigerian film and TV director of great repute. He has been a player in the film and TV scene in Nigeria since 2009, he officially launched his career after he graduated from the New York Film Academy Facilitated by the prestigious Del-York Creative Academy. He has worked as a director and line producer since then. The graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife proceeded to India where he studied cinematography at the digital academy in Mumbai India for a second degree.  Tope has over 600 episodes of TV drama and 5 films to his credit, notable in his credit as a TV drama director including- Emerald, Taste of love, Casino, The Condo, Allyson’s Stand, Daddy’s girls, My Flatmate. His Film Credit also includes 27, Mystery, Nimbe, Death right, Flame, and Picture Perfect. 



Francis Onwochei is an actor, Producer, and director. A graduate of the Federal School of Surveying with professional training from DW Television training centre in Berlin, Southern Illinois University Chicago and an alumnus of the Del-York Creative Academy. He has acted in several movies and produced Raging Storm, Final Onslaught, Saving Alero, Claws of the Lion, Glitterati, Drop Zone made in 2018 is his latest project.

Francis is also a  member of the Association of movie Producers Nigeria, Directors Guild of Nigeria lives in Lagos, married with 4 children.



Doris Chinasa Ariole is a writer, producer and director. She graduated as a director from Del-York Creative Academy in 2014, after which she directed two feature films: BENEVOLENCE 2015 and  KINSMAN 2017, as a Writer, Producer, and Director. She also produced and directed communication materials for UNICEF, FHI360, and USAID.  Benevolence was elected and nominated for ‘Most Inspirational Feature Film’ at the 2016 International Christian Film Festival in Orlando. It had a two months US screening in the city of Orlando following the festival.



Anthony Abraham got a diploma certificate in Broadcast Journalism from Del-York Creative Academy in 2011. He currently anchors and produces TV shows on Silverbird Television. He also runs a training facility called Mohspire where aspiring TV presenters are taught the rudiments of presenting. After the training, he had the opportunity to host several live red carpet events, which had a host of high profile personalities including senators and governors from Nigeria and other African countries, local and International celebrities like Nelly, Wyclef, Chris Aire, Sean Paul, Eve, Ludacris, Jidenna Speaks Igbo-Celebrity Interview, hosted Gucci Bloom Launch, Luxury Arts & Design and much moreHe had the opportunity to work with Eko Atlantic as a Silverbird reporter with Brent Sadler former CNN correspondent, Consultant Director of Communications, Eko Atlantic City.

Del-York Creative Academy was a life-changing experience for me … it shifted my whole perspective on what is possible to accomplish in Africa.
